Canadian singer-songwriter Shania Twain has made headlines once again by updating the lyrics of her iconic hit “That Don’t Impress Me Much”. The change sees Twain replace the name of Hollywood actor Brad Pitt with a new leading man.
In the original version of the song, Twain made it clear that even if a man was a rocket scientist or owned a fancy car, it would not be enough to win her over. However, in the updated version, Pitt’s name has been removed and replaced with none other than Channing Tatum.
Twain revealed her new choice during an interview with the Radio Times, where she also discussed how she would sing the new lyrics. “OK, so you’re Channing Tatum”, Twain sang during the interview, before confirming that the new lyrics worked perfectly.

It seems that Twain’s decision to replace Pitt with Tatum was influenced by the actor’s recent appearance in the trailer for “Magic Mike’s Last Dance”. This isn’t the first time Twain has updated the lyrics of “That Don’t Impress Me Much”. At the 2022 People’s Choice Awards, she surprised fans by swapping Pitt’s name with that of Ryan Reynolds during a medley of her hits.
Reynolds, who was in the audience, was visibly surprised when Twain sang his name instead of Pitt’s. The incident caused quite a stir on social media, with many fans wondering if Twain had a personal connection to Reynolds.
It’s clear that Twain is not afraid to update her music to reflect her changing tastes and preferences. Fans of the singer will no doubt be excited to hear what other surprises she has in store in the coming years.
