Pemra suspended the broadcast of ARY and Bol News for three days

In Pakistan, media regulatory authority PEMRA has suspended the broadcasting of RY and Bol News for three days. According to Pemra, the reason for this move is that the channels are not allowed to broadcast live.

According to Pemra, all channels were banned from live broadcasting of public events.

According to the PEMRA notification, both the channels have continuously violated the PEMRA rules and therefore they were issued show cause notices, however, the chief executives of these channels were unable to appear before the authority despite being personally summoned and only Written response submitted.
