IPL’s Tweet and Reports of Pant’s Presence
IPL took to Twitter to share a video of DC players wishing Pant a speedy recovery and encouraging him to get back on the field as soon as possible. Reports also suggest that Pant will be present at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday to watch the DC vs GT match. This will be Pant’s first appearance at a cricket stadium after his accident.
Delhi Capitals’ Gesture During Opening Match
During their IPL 2023 opening match against Lucknow Super Giants, DC came up with a kind-hearted gesture to show their support for Pant. They tweeted an image of Pant’s jersey hanging in the dugout with the caption “Always in our dugout. Always in our team”.
Sourav Ganguly’s Statement
Delhi’s Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly also expressed his thoughts on Pant’s absence from the team. He admitted that they missed their regular skipper against Lucknow but sees it as an opportunity for youngsters to prove their worth. Ganguly cited an example of how Pant got into the Indian team and emphasized the importance of his recovery for the team.
“We of course missed Rishabh Pant, but it gives an opportunity to a lot of other youngsters. Pant came when Dhoni left, and that is how youngsters get an opportunity. Right now, what is important for us is Rishabh Pant’s recovery,” said Ganguly.
DC players and management have shown their support and love for Pant during his recovery. As they prepare for their upcoming match against Gujarat Titans, the team hopes for a quick recovery for their regular skipper and looks forward to his return to the field.
